Respect and honour is due to the figures that have built and continue to build the rich, diverse and evolving Australian music scene that is so accessible to all today. The Melbourne music scene in particular exists as one of the most thriving musical epicentres on the planet!

The mentors, educators and artists of whom I speak each provide a vital influence via institution (the schools) and workplace (live performance).

Having found their own strong, individual voices, they have been the ones to carry on the cultural baton of artists past and present.

In their example, I aim to continue the work in keeping that fire burning and relevant to the ever-changing society in which we live.

Let’s play music!

WAMMUSIC acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
